Summus Industries is now a member of the Texas Association of State Systems for Computing and Communications (TASSCC)

Sugar Land, Texas (December 12, 2012) - Summus Industries is proud to announce it has joined TASSCC as an associate member. The mission of TASSCC is to advance education and networking among professionals supporting information technology for the Texas Public Sector. As an associate member, Summus Industries is eligible to attend monthly TASSCC advisory board meetings, associate member luncheons, and volunteer for associate committees.

Most recently, Summus Industries attended TASSCC State of the State conference held December 11, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Austin. We had the privilege of hearing the Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Gregory Vincent, describe the importance of diversity, its dimensions, and the outreach the university has with the community and the student population. Also presenting, was the Executive Director for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, Doug Robinson, his presentation focused on national technology trends, priorities, and issues. “We value the information provided by the presenters and look forward to becoming an active member of the TASSCC organization”, said Summus Industries Director of Marketing, Fabiola Garza.
