Summus Industries was founded in 1997 by Rodney L. Craig. The company is certified by the State of Texas as a HUB (Historically Underutilized Business). Summus Industries has roots deeply imbedded in the distribution business.

How customers acquire goods and services has changed. Customers are seeking additional value from their vendors.  The trend has been to consolidate the number of vendors and technology has become a tool to gather valuable data and help drive costs out of the supply chain. Summus Industries has developed a reputation and approach to customer service that is highly sought.

Today, Summus Industries is uniquely positioned to operate in this new environment. We have invested in technology that will keep us on the cutting edge of ecommerce solutions and managing data. In addition, we have developed the ability to source multiple product lines for our customers. Summus Industries has four operating divisions offering technology, office products, laboratory/medical products, and logistics services.

Community Involvement

We have a strong commitment to the communities in which we live and work. We believe giving back to communities is a prerequisite of being good corporate citizens. Summus Industries is proud to support our local charitable organizations and academic institutions. Over the years we have supported the following:

• Fort Bend County Women’s Center – is a non-profit organization that provides shelter and assistance to women and children who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Fort Bend County Women’s Center assists victims in becoming self sufficient while striving to prevent domestic violence and assault against women.
• Fort Bend Regional Council – is a non-profit organization that provides treatment programs and educational programs targeting youth and adults to help eliminate substance abuse.
• Scholarship – Summus Industries places a high value on the education of our future leaders. That is why we have funded scholarship opportunities at several universities including Texas Tech University and Texas A & M, Corpus Christi. We recognize the fact that the cost of a college education is rapidly accelerating. Summus Industries wants to do its part in assisting those students with a financial need in meeting their academic dreams.
